“Factory Reset” refers to deleting all data on a device and returning it to the state it was when it came from the factory. Factory resetting OTConnect tablets can fix a number of issues, but it requires some set up after. First, you will need to determine whether the tablet is running Android 5 or Android 9:
OTConnect Tablets have 2 variants:
1. Android 5 tablets
- Can only be used with treadmills
- To access the app menu, a circular gray button with 6 dots inside on the home screen must be tapped.
2. Android 9 tablets
- Can be used with rowers or treadmills
- Has smaller, solid navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen
- To access the app menu, swipe up from the home screen.
Android 5 Factory Reset:
Go to home screen > apps > settings > backup & reset > factory data reset
Android 9 Factory Reset:
Go to home screen > apps > settings > system > reset options > Erase all data (factory reset)
Both versions will reset and restart to the lock screen. Next, you will need to connect the tablet to Wi-Fi and follow the corresponding guide to install OTConnect (see PDF attached)
